How does BURNBLOCK works??
Three elements are required for a fire to start and develop: combustible material, oxygen, and heat (an ignition source). The BURNBLOCK fire retardant prevents oxygen from reaching the combustible material, which in our case is wood. Without access to oxygen, the risk of ignition is significantly reduced, and the rate at which the fire spreads is considerably slower.
The attached video shows how two identical wooden houses are burning—one treated with BURNBLOCK fire retardant and the other untreated.
BURNBLOCK fire retardan It has been successfully tested by several accredited testing institutes: the Danish Institute of Fire and Safety Technology, RI.SE in Sweden, MPA in Germany, and BRE in the United Kingdom.
BURNBLOCK works? Wood treated with fire retardant significantly extends the time between ignition and the development of flames, thereby providing residents with additional time to evacuate in case of a fire, and reducing the rate of fire spread as well as the costs associated with damage.
